When they sing – I listen When they soar – I watch -When they inspire – I paint
Years in the making this show is a gathering of inspirational moments. Each one is my favorite; it lured my attention with active persuasion and enticed me to cage it with the movement of watercolor, the imprint of my brush and the scrape of my knife as I laid down so many enticing marks. Powerful, charming and innocent all at once is the essence of a bird and that draws me in. I am taken by the visual undertone of these remnants of the jurassic era. They quiet and excite me all at once.
By taking the time to see them for who they are, their desires, their fears and intuitions you can see the honesty in the way they engage with the world. I hope one of my portrayals will reveal its authenticity to you, causing you to be silent, be still and gaze at them a little longer.
