Endurance Run

The River Of No Return Endurance Runs are directed by Paul Lind of Challis, Idaho.

Based in Challis, Idaho, the RONR Endurance Runs offer runners distances of 29k, 53k, or 108k, where you’ll be challenged by varying terrain and awed by gorgeous scenery. The 108k run boasts approximately 18,000′ elevation gain, 53k has about 8,800′ and the 29k has around 4,500′.

With the Salmon River to the south and the Frank Church Wilderness to the north, the RONR Endurance provides participants the chance to see the old mining town of Bayhorse, the picturesque Bayhorse Lake, Blue Mountain, the Lombard Trail, and an old stage coach trail, among many other sites. The entire course is crew-friendly with multiple aid stations that are support-team accessible without the use of four-wheel drive vehicles.

These courses are designed to be rugged yet beautiful, with mountain climbs over 8000-9000 feet with stunning vistas. Abundant wildlife including elk, deer, eagles, and wolves adds to the mystique of the River of No Return. You will experience history with the forgotten mines and mining communities along the way. All surrounded by the very supportive community of Challis.

Runners’ final finish will follow Main Street Challis down to the city park, where an enjoyable celebration awaits!
