🎆 Get ready for an unforgettable Fourth of July

🎆 Get ready for an unforgettable Fourth of July fireworks show in Challis!

As the sun goes down, look to the sky for one of the biggest highlights of the day! Fireworks will be launched from the North Custer Rodeo Grounds starting at 10 PM, lighting up the night in celebration of Independence Day.

🌟 Best viewing locations:
• Challis City Park
• City Baseball Field at the Park (please stay off the new field)
• Challis Community Events Center

Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, family, and friends, and arrive early to claim the perfect spot!

🚫 For everyone's safety, spectators will NOT be allowed at the North Custer Rodeo Grounds during the fireworks display.

A huge thank you to the North Custer Fire Department for hosting this spectacular show. We can't wait to celebrate with you — see you under the sparks! 🎇

Please join us in congratulating our 2026 Challis 4th of July Parade Grand Marshals, Ron and Sande Hill Yacomella!

Ron and Sande have dedicated their lives to serving, supporting, and strengthening the Challis community, and we are honored to recognize them as this year's Grand Marshals.

Ron was raised on a ranch in the East Fork and attended school in Challis. After earning an associate degree in engineering, he returned home to begin a 37-year career with the U.S. Forest Service, where he served as Fire Management Officer before retiring. His commitment to protecting our forests and community has left a lasting impact.

Sande was raised on a ranch in Montana and attended school in Twin Bridges before eventually making Challis home. She and Ron were married in 2003. An entrepreneur at heart, Sande founded Design Boutique before later selling the business and opening Way Out West Real Estate in Challis. As she prepares to retire this year, we also want to congratulate her on a successful career serving our community.

Together, Ron and Sande have built their lives around the people and places that make Challis special. They love working and living in this community and are grateful for the many family members, friends, and neighbors who have been part of their journey.

Thank you, Ron and Sande, for your years of service, dedication, and community spirit. We look forward to celebrating with you as you lead this year's 4th of July Parade!

They will be proudly escorted through the parade by Cole and Sarah Thornock.
