Classy Chassis
Challis Classy Chassis sponsors the annual Show N’ Shine car show during the first Saturday in June at the intersection of U.S. Highway 93 and Main Street. The car show is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dozens of classic and vintage cars and trucks, with a few modern year vehicles as well, will be parked on the grass for spectators to see and snap photos of. Concessions are sold by such vendors as North Custer Volunteer Firefighters and the American Legion, along with cruisin’ music filling the air. There are no entry fees for the show and no admission to check out the cars with most owners nearby, ready to share details about their automotive gems. Owners and drivers come from all over the state, some from other states as well, to participate. You will see vehicles from a 1937 Ford coupe, 1963 Dodge bus converted into a camper, 1969 Dodge Daytona, 1968 Pontiac Firebird, to a 2017 Chevy Corvette just to list a few.
