NORTH CUSTER RODEO GROUNDS

A true slice of Idaho tradition, the North Custer Rodeo Grounds is home to some of Challis’s most beloved annual events. This small-town venue comes alive each summer with the sound of cheering crowds, thundering hooves, and classic Western competition – from barrel racing and bull riding to mutton busting for the little ones.

Surrounded by mountains and open sky, the rodeo grounds offer a uniquely scenic setting for a weekend of family-friendly fun. Whether you’re a rodeo regular or just curious about the experience, the North Custer Rodeo events are a great way to tap into the area’s cowboy roots.

When a rodeo isn’t in session, the grounds are occasionally used for other community events and gatherings. With easy access and plenty of space, it’s a popular local spot for everything from youth activities to informal meetups.

The North Custer Rodeo Grounds are located just north of Challis. From town, head north on Highway 93 for about one mile, then turn left at Rodeo Road and follow signs to the grounds.
